Starrcast: Everything you need to know about 'wrestling's Woodstock'

Starrcast, the four-day weekend wrestling fans have been looking forward to since it was first announced since it was first announced as a supplemental event to the All In Chicago show earlier this year is finally here, and this post will run through everything you need to know about this event.

Whether that means what to do if you're actually here in Metro Chicago attending, tuning in on Fite TV, most recent updates, how to find us on Podcast Row and the event's schedule; this post will cover it.

Starrcast has absolutely exploded in the months since it was first announced as a wrestling podcast convention surrounding the All In Show, and we here at the Court of Nerds are proud to be one of the groups that bought into this event from the get-go.

Let's get to the specifics:

Starrcast kicks off 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 from the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg in Metro Chicago. People attending the show can pick credentials, bracelets and badges starting at noon, but that doesn't mean you're getting into the convention center early.

The event itself is sold out, and Starrcast made it clear to not expect walk-ups or additional tickets because they want to abide by that thing known as a fire code, but that doesn't mean you can't watch or keep up with all the action.

FITE TV is offering the Starrcast Weekend Pass with all the action for $99.99. This contains so many events, seriously it's jam-packed and one hell of a way to be a part of this historic event.

HOW TO WATCH THE ALL IN SHOW ON SATURDAY, SEPT. 1 FROM THE SEARS CENTRE ARENA:

All In Zero Hour will kickoff on WGN America (FOR FREE) starting at 6 p.m., which will include the Over-the-Budget Battle Royal featuring Moose, Jordynne Grace, Colt Cabana, All Ego Ethan Page, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage (current IMPACT X-Division champion), Billy Gunny, Jimmy Jacbos, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, Punishment Martinez and TBD, and The Briscoes vs. So-Cal Uncensored minus Christopher Daniels.

After that first hour, the show is available on the FITE TV app or Ring of Honor's Honor Club. It was recently announced that shortly after the event ends Saturday night, it will be available for streaming on the NJPW World app. So, rock on.

All In card:

  • Marty Scurll vs Kazuchika Okada
  • Rey Mysterio, Fenix and Bandido vs The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi
  • Madison Rayne vs. Britt Baker vs. Chelsea Green vs. Tessa Blanchard
  • Nick Aldis vs Cody for NWA World Heavyweight Championship
  • Hangman Page vs Joey Janela with Penelope Ford in a Chicago Street Fight
  • "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs "Arrow" star Stephen Amell

The folks behind All In 2018 announced on Twitter that the broadcast team for the Sept. 1 show from the Sears Centre Arena would consist of Alicia Atout, Cyrus, Ian Riccaboni, Sean freaking Mooney, Justin Roberts, Bobby Cruise and Excalibur.

"In an industry where status can be defined by championship constructs and card placement status, it's easy to continue to strive for those things…to continue to be the type of wrestler that can exist within the modern era of pro-wrestling," a previous ALL IN news release reads.

"It's hard, however, to think of doing more, to think of bucking the status quo, and combating the monotony. It's not our courage alone, but the courage of every fan worldwide that has put us in this position."
